Hello everyone! Some of you may know me from the RBEF, where I have a somewhat tenuous history. Considering this project has a more definite goal I think it will be a better fit. For those who do not know me, I am coming to this project with a somewhat atypical philosophy and can hopefully integrate my knowledge and beliefs with the project. I understand Corporatism (not to be confused with Corporations) and Proceduralism and hope to convey their benefits and collaborate on efforts to mitigate their weaknesses. While these positions are generally unpopular, I do support many of the popular ideals of the modern age... I just differ on the reality of implementing those ideals.

What do you do and/or would like to do in Atlas City?

I am a designer by trade, which means I balance engineering and business concerns. This makes me well suited to participate in the process of constructing and running a community's industrial infrastructure. I am skilled in a wide array of different CAD/CAM packages and have familiarity with every stage of design and manufacturing from the initial concept to the final product. I have a personal interest and enthusiasm in engineering and I am always eager to learn new skills and information.

What education do you have or would like to acquire?

I currently have an Associate's Degree, combined with experience in the Navy and working for a major manufacturer of tools.

Are you interested in living in Atlas City?

Most Certainly, provided the standard of living is good (Or is making real progress towards improvement)

Do you have skills to help build Atlas City?

I do have a wide range of technical and crafts skills that will benefit the Project.

Have you decided what committee you would like to join?

The Industrial and Automation Committees

Have you studied Resource Based Economies or Venus Project, what are you thoughts or concerns?

I have studied the concepts associated with Resource Based Economies and have some reservations about the idealist conception of Globalism. I believe one of the leading factors in the rise of abusive governments, and the failure of almost any political system, is largely an issue of excessive size. I support regional sovereignty because of a greater ability to respond to changes and a smaller power gap within the society.

How important do you think health and diet is in Atlas City?

Health and Diet are extremely important for both personal happiness and community prosperity. That being said, a balance must be struck between health and quality of life.

Are you motivated by money, or integrity, love, purpose and social contribution?

Is all of the above an option? Without love, Integrity, and Resources (which are represented in abstraction by money) one cannot accomplish their goals or contribute to their community in any significant way. If I had to choose a single option, I would say that I am most motivated by the pursuit of a worthwhile goal.

Tell us anything else about yourself you would like?

I'm a Sagittarius and I DO like long walks on the beach discussing Philosophy.

It's great to have you on board. You may want to consider looking at the Conceptualization Committee as well. We have had several people make several attempts at city and building design, but things are often lost in translation.

Philosophy is one of the great arts being lost currently. It's a shame that there is no business for it, thus no strong path for it in education (it's only an elective for most degrees). We have a lot going on right now so I hope you will dive right in and get a better understanding of some of our current undertakings.

Hi Aneiren welcome to our humble project! I think you will find areas of our project to suit your tastes. The conceptualization committee has definitely been an area that needs help. I hope you enjoy your time with us!

> Do you have skills to help build Atlas City?

I have problem solving abilities, a desire for physical hard work, and can manage resources and people with effiency and care.

Skills wise, I have a general spread of a little in many areas, with specialisation in the computing side of things, in particular coding.

Resource allocation solutions, eg. figuring out who gets what, plus supply and demand aspects.

As such, at this stage, I see money works as a low cost paper analogue computing system to determine supply and demand aspects by spreading the computing load among everyone in the system.

We may be able to replace that with another system, at least in part, but it is not clear that we can do away with it entirely at this stage, as such I suggest we evolve solutions rather than try and do away with something just becase we think it might be bad. (eg. money.)

I see the two as being compatible myself. (In essence, it is the lack of money that is the issue for poor people, not money itself.)

> How important do you think health and diet is in Atlas City?

I think it is very important, but I'm not sure how we would impliment keeping people fit and healthy, as my study of what happens when people get low cost food is they tend to get obese and poor health follows.

I would say I'm motivated by the suffering of others. (Eg. their suffering is something I wish to help reduce.)

> Tell us anything else about yourself you would like?

I love stratagy games! (C&C style for example, though I have been known to play the odd boardgame, and no I don't play chess, though just occasionally. (The last time I think I beat someone in less than a dozen moves as I was in a bit of a mood at the time!))

Gemini whilst we are into star signs, and I like long walks, but with my feet and lets not in good health, I'm more limited than I used to be, so rather struggle at the moment just to get shopping home.

A lesson there in avoiding being overweight, it does you no good..
(And yes I'm on a diet now!)

Oh and welcome by the way
