Atlas City Project

What's up people of Atlas City!

My name is Diego and I live in Chile. I've always liked arts, music and movies. I love to make music, I sing & write songs and also record them.

When I got out of highschool I wasn't sure what to study next, so I went to advertising school. I got really disapointed of the focus that they tried to teach us, but anyway, I don't think its right to condeem the talent, but the intention.

I never could start working in an advertising agency because I think that at the end its not right so I am a freelance designer (websites, graphics in general) and I'm always searching for Venus Project info, Zeitgeist Movement and resource based economy signals. Some people not understand this and think that I should start working to earn money, good people, honest and with good hearts, but inside this monetary system.

I am now studying special effects and post production for videos, which I think its lots of fun!

So anyway, I would love to be a volunteer in anything, I consider myself a creative person to solve problems or invent new stuff in concept. I would love to learn and be part of this groundbreaking community.

What do you do and/or would like to do in Atlas City?
I like design and animation, so probably something regarding to the design of logos, brochures and broadcasts, maybe information about the city itself, editing videos and making motion graphics. I'm also a musician (I play guitar and sing, also like percussion) so I'd love to play music with people. Also I would teach what I know to others.

What education do you have or would like to acquire?
I studied advertising after highschool and now I'm studying post production (video editing and FX). I didnt like the purpose of advertising, but I think that the things I learned can be applied in more areas. I'm always open to learn new things, I always go around the internet and making my way through tutorials or interesting facs about biology, mechanics, electronics, space, etc.

Are you interested in living in Atlas City?
Of course, I would travel in whatever means necesary to get there!

Do you have skills to help build Atlas City?
I dont have construction knowledge, but I'm young and strong. Good will to follow orders from people who know how to do the job.

Have you decided what committee you would like to join?
I got interested in Conceptualization, Agricultural is great too.

Have you studied Resource Based Economies or Venus Project, what are you thoughts or concerns?
Yes, I have. My first approach was with Zeitgeist. Then Future by design, Zeitgeist Movement, Venus Project, Creative Commons collaboration, Urgent Evoke, Nikola Tesla's work, Designing the Future Book, Looking Foward and then got into meditation.
I think that we need to start working on improving society through scientific method ASAP. I looked out for some sort of automation software or some way to make the first step but got no luck... I'm still on that chapter.

How important do you think health and diet is in Atlas City?
I think its important, I dont eat junk food anymore because I think its not good for ur body. I quit smoking too and I'm doing more excercise. Vegetables and fruits are great! But I also like meat and beer.

Are you motivated by money, or integrity, love, purpose and social contribution?
I am motivated but integrity, purpose, love and social contribution. I really think people should be able to follow their dreams no matter what the chances of doing it are. Money is just the way to get things done, which I think sucks. I also think power and money drives people crazy. Last videos of Jacque Fresco about science of communication got my mind clear about money not letting communication among people be possible. (link: www.youtube.com/user/thevenusprojectmedia)

Tell us anything else about yourself you would like?
I also love animals! we should totally have dogs, they are the best. Cats are gonna be usefull to get plages out too. What about farm animals?

It would be great to throw together a short movie kind of explaining what we are about. We have the short clip on the home page, and have been talking about longer ones for some time. As a volunteer group, it's important for us to advertise to bring in new talents. Glad to have you on board

I would like to discuss about Zeitgeit's style in their videos. Have u noticed that they look kinda like "horror movie" style? I'm not sure its the best to comunicate the ideas. What do you think about that?
