Hello all,

New to this forum, one of the early members of the original Venus Project forum long before it went defunct. Glad to be here.

What do you do and/or would like to do in Atlas City?
I'm very interested in public transit, architecture, and city design - though I have no expertise in these areas, I may or may not have some ideas of value.

What education do you have or would like to acquire?
Have B.S. - Microbiology

Are you interested in living in Atlas City?
Possibly - depends entirely o what systems of freedom (or control) are intended for such a city.

Do you have skills to help build Atlas City?
I believe some, yes.

Have you decided what committee you would like to join?
Not yet.

Have you studied Resource Based Economies or Venus Project, what are you thoughts or concerns?
Yes - proud owner/reader of "The Best That Money Can't Buy" (Fresco) -thoughts and concerns too extensive for this thread, will become more evident in other parts of the forum.

How important do you think health and diet is in Atlas City?
Very Important in general, not necessarily in Atlas City - health/nutrition education is paramount.

Are you motivated by money, or integrity, love, purpose and social contribution?
One can't necessarily be motivated by money for a project like this, yet at the same time - one must be motivated by money because it will take money to get anything like this off the ground - it will be necessary for any transitional period, short of a major catastrophe or severe social upheaval. I am known for my integrity, quite capable of love for my fellow humans (and animals!) and believe that it is noble to work for the greater good of humanity, without necessarily sacrificing one's own well being and security.

Tell us anything else about yourself you would like?
Hmmm. There's a lot to discuss, it can wait!

Great to have you here. I would like to discuss architecture more with you when you after you look through that thread and the conceptualization thread. Purhaps we can work together on a few designs.

Indeed! But I must be up front: I have no professional experience with architectural design or otherwise, but it is an interest and I've got ideas in my head! I do need to spend a LOT of time exploring what all is here. Alas, I can only do "drive bys" for the moment, but hope to dedicate more time in the near future...

I don't have professional experience either, just research anything I don't know. Many of us are busy and can only stop in here and there. Do what you can for now, and hope to see you participate more when you get the chance.

welcome.

microbiology? your skills could be very useful. imagine ways of recycling using bacteria or using microorganisms for food or energy.

I find that stuff to be very interesting

Yes, there is growing focus on this very thing - particularly microbes for fuel generation for homes and vehicles. Microbes could be our salvation.
