Chase, yes i agree.
A sense of community and tribe is also a good thing and sorely lacking in todays socio-ecconomic systems.
plays, concert, etc are all an extension of this. The more cross pollination and open culture the better.
But i also believe that randomness and quirkiness help create the space to be this way. I hate formalised spaces that say "this is where the culture space is".
I prefer the open spaces to be grassed areas with tracks that just develop in them based on the usage patterns that "emerge" from that. Just hoe the festivals work.
