The RBE concept requires a new way of thinking. This is the guide for those who want to learn to become an Atlasian. You must live it in your own life to understand and become it.

... a common dream? I see all these sub-forums for planning the variou technical aspects of it when, in fact it would seem to me that at this stage in the game when this website is still inviting strangers like me... that this city should be in the consensus-building stage, in which it seeks to find like-minded members that bond in significant ways. The actual material aspects of the city seem like less important to me than having a common dream. Something like this requires planning and technical knowledge, but when it comes to all these different people actually living together in it... what is that going to be like trying to get everyone to mesh? It's more like a big village than a city what seems to be planned at this stage. That's really close quarters for people that might clash in significant ways! What will be the atmosphere? Like a senior citizen community? Like a college town? Like a spiritual retreat? Like a cultural center?

All I can say is patience. The beginning of a community often starts out scattered, but in time, you will see more of a unity form. Atlas City is simply on the verge of a developmental genesis, that's where we are now. And I agree that we do need to bring forward a more focussed approach on certain key aspects before moving onto something else. I agree that we do get scattered. And I think that forming a focus on the priorities would be the best course of action so we don't become to fragmented, but as time progresses, we will see this improve.

Neytiri I see you posting a lot of questions. It is our philosophy that was agreed upon months ago that when asking questions you should also bring a hypothesis with it (unless you simply won't try to think, in which case you shouldnt bother posting), to encourage deeper thinking. Asking a lot of questions without any thought of your own leads to negativity. Negativity spreads like a virus. Start asking yourself these questions and help find answers, no one here has all the answers, that's why it is a community. Even as a community we don't have all the answers so please help hypothesize about possible outcomes and help lay out the path to the answer.
