TOPIC: David Miller - Sterling Heights, Michigan

Hi,
I have been following the Venus Project ever since the first Zeitgeist Movie and am a member ot The Zeitgeist Movement.

Back in the seventies I studied Architecture and gobbled up several of R Buckminster Fuller's books as well as looked over Paolo Soleri's books on Archologies. I am a computer software engineer with my own company and have developed software for many different industries. I excel in project management and I am very interested in contributing to building a prototype city with the concepts of Jacque Fresco and a resource based economy.

When I was in the School of Architecture at University of Detroit back in 1972, I was conceptualizing building a city with different areas such as industrial, commercial, residential and agriculture, not disimilar to The Venus Project, albeit Jacque's designs are far more detailed and comprehensive. So, I have had the bug for quite a while.

So my question is, how far along is Atlas City from beginning construction?

Hi David welcome to the Atlas City Project!

We are still working toward building without a set date to break ground. We are currently writing grants to obtain funding and creating a focused business plan to encourage investment.
Once you realize that every beings purpose in life is to learn, it becomes easier to forgive them for their mistakes.

The future doesn’t exist. The only time we can be peaceful is now, because now is all that exists.

hello david

what rob said is correct, we are currently applying for grants, but i estimate that is the easier part.

in my opinion, the biggest thing standing in our way currently is a lack of designs. we do not want to start building until we have ample documentation of what we will be building.
so any help in your field would be really cool
