I'm honestly perplexed at how I missed the entire concept of RBE until now. I'm in my mid-30's and this is entirely new to me. I used to have serious difficulty with John Lennon's
Imagine because I honestly thought of it as nothing but a horrific pipe dream. Then I found the Venus Project (through Zeitgeist, and it in turn brought me here), and I now feel I understand what the song implies. Even if Lennon didn't have something exactly like Atlas in mind, the RBE is what he's singing about.
Though I reserve the right to prefer hearing Maynard (A Perfect Circle) sing it.

On to the questions...
What do you do and/or would like to do in Atlas City?
Most of my "careers" have been in the phone service/customer service areas. However, I have a passion for digital artwork. I also am returning to college next fall and fully intend to take as many courses as I can in the direction of Sociology and Anthropology. I'm not sure how all that makes me useful to Atlas City, but I'm sure I could find some way to be of value.
What education do you have or would like to acquire?
I have some college, but didn't get my degree before. As I mentioned, I'm returning this fall to finish.
Are you interested in living in Atlas City?
Extremely interested. My family situation would keep me from living there immediately however. It would take a lot of convincing evidence of it being a working project for my family to be willing to move there.
Do you have skills to help build Atlas City?
I'm not really sure. I have a very inquisitive mind, and I enjoy looking at different ways of achieving goals, which could be of help. I don't have any kind of engineering or labor experience however.
Have you decided what committee you would like to join?
Just getting here and I unfortunately haven't taken a look at the committees yet.
Have you studied Resource Based Economies or Venus Project, what are you thoughts or concerns?
I have just started studying RBE, the Venus Project, Atlas City and the myriad of other related projects and experiments going on out there. I think my major thought is that there would need to be many, many experienced and communicative psychologists/psychiatrists involved who can help people deal with the transition and everything it entails.
How important do you think health and diet is in Atlas City?
I think it would be extremely important, though I feel it is so not only for those within, but in order to be convincing for those without. The success of Atlas City must be apparent to outsiders or I believe it would be quickly be torn down.
Are you motivated by money, or integrity, love, purpose and social contribution?
I am motivated by the success and realization of new ideas and concepts. I am motivated by being useful, by my actions having a positive effect on the environment around me.
Tell us anything else about yourself you would like?
I can't think of anything else currently, but I am by no means a forum lurker. I'm sure people will come to know me fairly well.
