Okay, let me begin by saying that right now I'm quite dissatisfied with my life in a monetary based system, because I'm stuck in a crappy position with no job and no car. Like most of us, I want to opt out of it. So let me introduce myself. My name is Allen Leung and I'm a 19 year old sophomore college student majoring in Secondary Education Mathematics/Music at UNLV. I don't really like math but I'm taking it because it gaurentees me a job(freedom, heh I know right?).
Recently, I've been more interested in pursuing civic engagement and advocating for world peace,
because I realize that my mind wasn't designed to care about the mundane activities of everyday life(working 9-5, TV, etc). Unlike most of the kids around my age, I've already know what I want to do with my life and I'm actually quite aware of the tyranny that's oppressing the human race. Over the years I've realized that most of the communities around Las Vegas haven't changed at all. It's the same dry arid slum that I've seen throughout my whole entire life and this made me realize that I didn't want to end up like the people who are willing to spend most of their lives going to the same job everyday because it's the "American way of life".
Anyways, that last statement was quite adjunct but whatever. Okay, the thing about me is that I'm not a very technical oriented person and reading through a computer manual would drive me insane. In fact I'm more of a creative thinker that loves to conjure and absorb ideas. I guess the most I can do is help out and discuss some of the ideas that we're willing to perform. Other than that my other talent is classical guitar.... heh who needs that right? I'm also learning to speak German right now and fluency will take sometime. I also like to keep up to date with projects and concerns that the world is facing right now. Other than that I like to listen to people's personal problems and help them become better than they are, so social work could be my profession I guess? Hopefully this organization will strip down the nihilism that's encompassing us and replace it with higher human values.
Oh yes, and I live in Las Vegas, Nevada.
What do you do and/or would like to do in Atlas City?
1. Listen and play music all day.
2. Befriend others and help them improve themselves
3. Raise healthy children who are free from genetically modified diseased chickens
4. Work around the community, and lend a hand to others
5. Discuss about morals and debate on what is just and injust
6. Go through an existential crisis which will in time lead to suicide. JK! JK! JK!
What education do you have or would like to acquire?
I would like to learn about evolutionary psychology or sociology, I dunno but I've always been interested in those subjects
Are you interested in living in Atlas City?
I rather take chances with Atlas City than any other city here in America.
Do you have skills to help build Atlas City?
Very little perhaps
Have you decided what committee you would like to join?
I dunno
Have you studied Resource Based Economies or Venus Project, what are you thoughts or concerns?
Eventually, I think we'll have to regulate the population so I was wondering if it would be just to implement population control.
Also, we might have to find some artificial meat that will taste like chicken. I'm not a vegetarian, but I really find it ironic that we advocate for peace but we're willing to kill animals
How important do you think health and diet is in Atlas City?
It should be one of the major concern. Good people deserve to live a long and healthy life.
Are you motivated by money, or integrity, love, purpose and social contribution?
I'm motivated by freedom and I guess love can be one of them as well. I'm also motivated by my contempt towards those who would enslave children in other countries that will be forced to waste many years of their lives just to make our commodities
Tell us anything else about yourself you would like?
I originally planned to pursue my dreams of becoming a professional musician and now I've realize that there's more to life than just helping myself. I really can not see myself as just another puppet for entertaining the masses just so I can just become another tool of the capitalist regime. I also couldn't imagine myself working in a monotonous job everyday if my dreams were to fail
