This is just a notice to everyone who is looking at/processing grants.

The option "Cost Sharing or Matching Requirement:" is important to notice.

What does this mean?

If this option is "yes" this means that our organization will be required to match a certain percentage of the funds presented to us.
So for example, if we are given a $700,000 match required grant, we would have to put something like $70,000+ from our own funding in matching requirements.

Good to know. Grants seem to be a tricky prospect to get the hang of. Now, would there be a way to use a different grant as the match money? For example, we recieve a 100k from one grant for furthering (let's say) sustainable living. Now applying for that 700k grant (requiring us to put in 70+) could we use the previous grant money so nothing more comes from personal pockets?

i dont see why this wouldnt work, however, are we not required to utilize a specific grant's money to accomplish a task set forth by such a grant?

If that is the case we may only be able to use the leftover money for such purposes Chase, however, i hope you are correct.
