TOPIC: Implementation Plan for Atlas City

Implementation Plan for Atlas City 2 years ago #2238

In order for our group to maximize it's efforts revolving around grants, it will be neccessary for us to develop a more detailed plan for the layout and realization of this city.

So I have narrowed down the first stage of this city and would like to bring it up for discussion:

Stage I : Agricultural/Manufacturing Initialization

Within this stage our city will lay down its first buildings, specifically geared towards power generation, agriculture (aquaponics, hydroponics, etc), and manufacturing (whatever our product of choice may be).

The city will have housing available to staff the necessary personnel to manage these facilities.

These facilities will ensure the city begins and runs properly from the first stages as well as begin to bring in funds to continue city growth.

A more conceptualized "final product" (while such a thing will never exist) of the layout of the city will need to be produced to ensure buildings are not built upon inappropriate locations.

Some possible required building/entities:
    large solar panel facilities

uses: to generate, maintain, and store power for Atlas City
    agricultural growing tower(s)

uses: food generation for the city, possibly food generation to sell, research and development
    manufacturing/factory facility(s)

uses: production of desired product, research and development
    housing complex(s)

uses: housing of pioneering citizens
    distribution center

uses: management of city resources
____

Ok guys, lets hash this out and see what we can come up with or improve this idea.

Ive posted this on RBEF so if you've seen it im sorry. I think i few things we need to think about is yield versus cost. Has anyone put a price on using land to using water. Then the second step, is how do we automate which one better? Just my 2 cents. Think about this for a few.
When your thinking on this, make sure you add circle crop in you head.(for the automation part.)

Im sure alot of talk has been applied to the new and better ideas. We must consider both sides of the story. I use to sell farm parts so I only know about the parts, and equipment. Well i have knowledge of farming also. I have seen nothing to convince me (what ive seen so for any how) of anything better yet. (Than land) Im one that if you show me something better. Im all for what it stands for. I never fall in love with one idea. I would rather point out the good points. Leave the other points for the understood part. Remember three great ways. GOOD, BETTER, BEST. My last thing that i do is never try to sell my own idea.(what im trying to say is i never drive home my points. i present, and you see.) That way i know i will not fall in love with my own idea. Again my comments do not need any answer.(good or bad) However they should be understood. Now we all know communication is flawed, so that we talk at people, rather than too. I hope we have an understanding of understanding what needs to be understood? sorry i couldnt help myself.

P.S. I love the new look on the website. Freaking awesome!

you have to prioritize and build in stages. You have a sort of seed village that gets built first so that you can then have people living on site and working to build bigger; the construction folks.

Then you get to like theme park size, which is nice because then the cash flows back the other way instead of just spending money to build...

And then finally you make it to real city size as you obtain high tech industry and maintain agricultural self sufficiency.

Its really three main growth stages with the first stage being when everybody shows up with tents and cars and trailers and mobile homes and ending with
them having temporary housing so that they can live on site in an RBE but continue to build the place further.

Humanities ...contributions...weren't on topic here.
