TOPIC: Factories concept

Factories concept 2 years, 3 months ago #1167

I think one of the biggest things we could do is create factories to recycle e-waste so we can have components we need to bring in new or modified technology. What are your guys' thoughts on this?

Yes that will be needed heavily during transition. After though we will build stuff to last so it wont need to be recycled very often, it will only need to be upgraded. So yes your idea is viable maybe it should be near the technology learning center?

I'm a little familiar with waste/plastic/glass recycling plants and what they require to run and space wise, but have no idea on what it takes to run a e-waste recycling center. I'm wondering how many components and sectors would be needed. You have glass and metals in many electronics, but there is wiring, circuitry , harsh chemicals (mercury, lead), and I'm sure a few more I'm leaving out. This would require many sectors for the different component recycling, cleaning and sorting. I suppose made vertically for each component to save space. Hopefully, with our general public storage facility most things will be reused by someone else when not wanted anymore and only recycled when broken.
