It would be great to have something like this. We don't need to be quite as high tech in the construction, but something to show new members and give a true feel for it would be great.

wow that is an amazing visualization. that takes alot of talent and effort, but it is something which definitely should be done before construction commences to ensure a solid idea of what we are building.

Pity they make it sound like they would help to build these new cities when they do just about everything to make it hard to do so by trying to work with them!

Reminds me of companies that promise to look after the customer and then almost go out of their way to provide such a poor service, it makes you wonder if they are going to stay in business long!

As often, there is a huge gap between those at the top (Fresco.) and those at the bottom (You and me) with an inbetween that fails to deliver.

Still, the video is nice, though the people who did the city wasn't happy with my input that the design currently is too simple. (Its a fault I see with much modern architecture that perhaps the designer hasn't experienced living in and fails to understand the finer points of what people need in buildings, rather than what you might imagine they do.)

With 3D graphics and out of the box solutions to building such creations, it wouldn't take too much effort from any of us to put together something similar. (I've started myself using Unreal Tournament level editor so you can have an area to walk through under your own control, but as not everyone has Unreal to play, it would make sense for me to focus on say using Silverlight as I'm using that for many other projects. (kit3d.codeplex.com ))

I am developing a MMORPG game, but it will be a few years I imagine before the graphics approach this level.

And of course, people in the MMORPG have to actually build said city from scratch

(Except perhaps for any discovered ancient cities which may exist...)
