city simulator? you are working on?

The city simulator will be a simulation of multiple situations and how Atlas City v1.0 will look like. Most likely, we will take advantage of software such as DarkGDK or DarkBASIC to build the simulation.

To give you an idea, have you ever looked at a virtual display of realestate or seen video games view "fly" through cities? This basic concept is even shown of some of the videos by Brad and Time Warrior, but we need to get more specifics with the city first. Of course, we could start on some cliche videos such as people playing at the local pool or picking up good at the outdoor vegetable market. The more detailed we get the city the more detailed the videos and sims will become.

Will models built in sketchup or autocad import to that?

Its a pretty complicated software, it requires the knowledge of programming in C#. DarkBasic and most of The Game Creator's software cost money. I recommend you download Visual C++ and install DarkGDK.

I'm thinking about using the open source Cube 2 engine to develop the whole city and objects for the city. I will eventually script interactive objects and playable movies into the engine, so you can literally walk through a video gallery of documentaries.

We could also take advantage of free open source powerful java

How much do they have me for then if i like it?

If you can waiting a few hours or so, I'll upload my Visual Studio 2008 .iso I got from my school. It doesn't require a key and I can put it on up to 50 computers. Basically you burn it to a DVD and throw it back in your computer.

cad for free. It was sweet but i have three versions of 2d free cad i don't use.

i also own poser 7 and never use it. lol

it got too weird when i was used to poser 5 and then everything changed.
I almost just want my old poser 5 back. lol

the manual is thicker than a textbook. And twice as complicated. lol

please don't get me involved in any more of these adventures without telling me exactly what it is that i'd be downloading, what it does, and why I'd want it. And how much room it takes up. And how user friendly it is
because i really just only started to get good with autocad and it took some time to learn. Not as easy as sketchup.

I didn't understand a single part of what you said. I merely pointed out the software required to build the simulator, not that you should have t download it. You are the one who downloaded it, not me. If you didn't know what is what, why didn't you research the software?

Visual Studio takes up about 5gb, DarkGDK takes up about 2gb. It has nothing to do with autocad or sketchup files, its a programming software for game development.
