that actually looks pretty cool.

Obviously the energy production is being planned for off the grid, but one thing they could work on is food production for the city as well. I do not think such a structure could feed its million residents.

That is a cool piece of technology though thanks for sharing. 1 million people on 2 square kilometers of land. that is efficient.

Perhaps half the building could be a vertcal farm feeding and housing 500,000 people

There are vertical Gardens that we can use.

Look at the cylinder shaped building.

Vertical Farms are great but currently very expensive based on this article.

There is a lot of vacant commercial buildings around the country that can be used for now, maybe a deal can be made with a landlord where they get 25-35% of the profits on food sold for the rent. Better to have some money coming in than a vacant property with all it's expenses.

Yes, i think Atlas Citie first steps need to be focused more on recycling on what is available(mostly others trash, which is mostly free) and using our brains to make something more efficient and sustainable. Making something out of nothing is my first step look of atlas. we most likely will not start with a huge budget or a great brand new plot of land or building.
I know we can have "cutting edge" technology on a "thrift store" budget.
