I would like to intergect the humble goat into this topic not all of us are vegetarians. why the goat you might ask? it's simple cows are stupid and disease prone bred out of any survival aspect. the goat is cleaner and keeps the weeds away as long as there is greenery around and plenty of fresh water they can be left alone to take care of themselves provided a little protection is supplied. self replicating food supply with little effort milk and butter leather for goods and trade.
did I mention tasty
so in summery food that eats non food plants clears land small enough to handle trade worthy both in products and itself little care. sounds perfect for this project.

With the spelling and grammar errors I was quite confused by that first sentence. Reading on it makes since now. I've often wondered about goats opposed to cows. Cows in America are bred to be too dumb to run if you break down a fence (I heard somewhere they are in a state of chemically induced retardation). Having non-commercial cows, or perhaps foreign cows, would combat that. I would like to see the different health aspects of goat vs cow dairy products, and food consumption rates per milk production.

One plus of a cow, however, is massive amounts of meat.

I like some of those links. If the information is accurate, it seems there are many benefits to goats. They are more adaptable to different geographies where cows are too heavy for some (steep hills). Goat milk is supposedly more beneficial to the digestive track. They reproduce more frequently and have less time to reach "butcher maturity."

and safer to be around for children, cleaner too with a dry rabbit pellet type of waste rather than a huge wet land mine.
