I am very good with strategies for getting the word out about anything one needs to get the word out, about. I'm going to share some of those strategies with you now. My strategies are ethical. I am a huge fan of information syndication but I frown on spamming.

Add This (addthis.com) is a very useful service. All you need do, is paste their little code snippet into the global theme for your site -- and it will allow for any page of your site to have an option to add it to just about every social networking site in existence.

It is a very simple, subtle, non-intrusive tool.

deviantART (twarrior.deviantart.com) is a great place where you can post any artwork done for this website and use it as a means of advertising the site itself. For one example of how I have already done this for Atlas, see here: twarrior.deviantart.com/art/Atlas-Avatar-150823567

You can also create a dA Group, such as one of mine for example: bbsing.deviantart.com for Atlas. Mine is not for Atlas, of course. It is however a group and a good example of what a group is capable of.

deviantART is a great way to get the word out to a community of over 8 Million people in such a way where you are advertising through self expression, rather than through spamming or anything unethical.

SourceForge (sourceforge.net) would be great for when we have a full programming team established here, as well as Google Code (code.google.com). Having community development projects for web apis, softwares and operating systems would encourage a spirit of community cooperation and drive interest in the Atlas Group. The more popular these projects become, the more aware of Atlas people become. Seeing as caring is sharing anyways -- anything we develop for Atlas itself really should not be closed source, it should be shared freely as to set the proper example for others that an RBSE system truly does work.

There are many other examples I can and will go into, but for now I shall wait

Yes, you definately need to be a part of the activism committee. Please lead the way to bring some great ideas to fluition. All committees, especially the activism committee, are lacking members and sizable action. Will you be willing to take the lead on a few of these ideas you have proposed?

I don't want to take any "lead". I want to work in equality with like minded individuals. Thats why I have proposed my ideas. I know that whether people agree or disagree, they'll work with me on hammering out and fine tuning it. That they won't see me as any sort of authority, nor will they see themselves as authority over me.

We're all just here passing the various idea balls around and see where it all ends up. Its a collective cooperative effort. Individuals working as a unit

So am I willing to advocate and participate? Well, thats why I am here But I think Atlas City by default in its mandate is to move beyond "leaders / followers" and move into a system where everyone contributes what they can and works together as equals.

I am thankful my ideas are considered and discussed and I am happy to consider any other ideas. We'll just all pass this stuff around amongst ourselves and like any other flower -- with enough time and care, we'll see it bloom

Does that answer your question?

Nice work on the background. If you want the original .psd files or .png files to work with i can get them to you so you are free to play with them. I also created a nice one that goes well on a black background, it has the black glass effect.

I like your ideas for getting the word out and I look forward to getting to know you more and working beside you

Thanks You and I should have a phone discussion at some point. Brad and I have been chatting on GoogleTalk quite a bit lately and I've talked to him about some of my ideas and things I can do for you guys and he said "you really need to talk to Rob about these things, as he runs the site and such and he would be best to speak to about what to implement or not, because he is familiar with how the site works".

So, I'm going to heed that sound advice as long as you also are willing to A bunch of very simple things that can be done to really enhance this place -- and I'll be more than happy to walk you through the setups if need be.

Sometimes its the simple, subtle, easy things that have the most profound impact. So, I've got a bunch of quick and easy things you can effortlessly establish here that I think will push the word out far and fast -- but without being intrusive or spending an unnecessary amount of time on any one thing.

Just a simple little push out the door, soto speak. Nothing overly complicated

On a side note -- I've actually got a whole pile of ideas, but theres a mistake I've made in the past that I refuse to make anymore.

Sometimes when an online community has overly impressed me with their open mindedness, I dived in too hard and too fast with the sharing of ideas -- that I was seen as more intrusive than cooperative.

So, I'm taking it slow. Biding my time. I'll share all I have to share with you. All in the due course of time I refuse to over step my bounds here. Regardless of what I know or not or not good my ideas are or not, I am the newbie here. I need to know my place until I establish seniority and that takes time, patience and getting to know people

No problem, I do my best to be flexible. I like hearing new ideas but like you said lets do them one at a time. As you can tell I kinda threw this site together in a hurry in order to keep everyone happy but now that it's coming to a point where I can start focusing more on little things.

First things first we need a solution to our video conference problem, thats the biggest problem we have right now.

I would like to respectfully say that I can assist you with what we discussed on the phone the other day -- and many more things we did not get the chance to discuss. So, please allow me to assist in those areas. If I happen to find a video solution along the way, I will let you know immediately. However, this is not where my area of experience is.

I would like to help you with what I know I can do for you in the here and now. The video stuff is a "perhaps if i happen to find it, but I can't promise you that". I would like you and I to focus on what I can do for you.

I say "you and I" because of course, I need your permission and whatever accesses which allow me to perform those tasks. This is your site and I must do things your way. I am the new comer. I am sure I will have more accesses and granted more permissions as time goes on -- but all of this will take time, so let us start with what I have and can do and proceed with patience
