That was an interesting article. I didn't know that newer plants can burn off the fuel rods so there is no excess toxic waste. It was brought up, however, that it can take up to 10 years to build new plants. And though less then 100 people died directly from nuclear plants, they didn't mention the 60,000 supposed cases of cancer caused by Chernobyl.
