I recommend everyone test their web browser.

Linux users will not be effected by this test, as the exploits are primarily Windows-based.

If you think your computer is secure, think again. Use this link below to see if you are as secure as you think.

My biggest fear for Atlas is not a physical attack, but a technological one. A bad attack could destroy our entire infrastructure, records, everything in a heartbeat. Just as the NSA computers were crashed for FIVE days right before 9/11 happened, our world would stop if such an attack happened.

I think a rather simplistic form of a failsafe is the most natural, logical one.

All computers will be connected to the Atlas Mainframe Hub. This hub allows them to do everything they need to do on the cloud, including getting on the Internet.

All applications for Atlas City will already be on several servers, as there will need to be a whole server just for development.

Anyways, the typical user's desktop would not be connected directly into a modem, but rather the Atlas Mainframe Hub. The Atlas Mainframe Hub would be connected to the T4 fiber optic cables. Lets just say my awesome Linux computer detects a high spike in incoming data, all I would do really need to do is pull the fiber optic lines.

Now, it should be known, that viruses would not effect the end-user's computer in the first place, being the fact that it's Linux based, and viruses are built for Windows. The reason that Linux has no viruses is it's constant bug fixes in regards to security holes, and also a big factor is Linux is built to be multi-user, unlike Windows which focuses on a single user.

Either way, programmed server failsafes would be programmed later on, it's obviously not a priority right now.

Not none, but very few.

There is the concern that as antivirus software isn't well developed for Linux, when big bad viruses turn up, Linux will be hit badly. (Much like how mobile phones started out with no anti-virus applications and got clobbered.)

Ideally you should have a virus research departmant whose job is to try and break the systems your using, so you can work out solutions!

Also, I can recommend an antivirus windows checker that I found spotted things others didn't..
