Atlas City Project

I will create a diagram/drawing for this concept later. Right now, i just wish to get my words down.

Basically, the AI's which will be the behind the scene show runners will become an intergrated part within everyones life, if they choose to allow such a change, such as the iphone has changed the lives of it's users.

Each "category" will have its own A.I. The levels include:

World - This is the global A.I. system, connected to each region system which intakes information about global supplies, weather, events, and coordinates calls from region A.I.s

Region - these A.Is connect to the cities within their areas. They take information from cities such as natural disasters, lack of supplies, needs for construction, etc, and sends out information to other cities or to the world A.I. accordingly. A region of today could be considered a continent in todays terms.

City - these A.I.s are connected to each building A.I. in the city. It coordinates traffic, emergency services, supply distribution, power distribution, etc.

Building - each building will have its own A.I. which will be connected to sensors which intake information. This information is disseminated depending on its content, either being storied in the buildings AI (such as facial recognition for access) or stuff such as fire emergency which will need to be sent to the city A.I. These A.I.s, if desired, can take on a more human or personal quality or attributes. In this way, people can become familiar with a buildings A.I. especially if they spend alot of time there, and will add a more human touch to such a robotic mechanism.

Personal - in general, each person who desires one could have their own personal A.I. which could be customized as easily as it is to change a wallpaper on your desktop. This A.I. would become a partner with its user in the way that a person with an Iphone leans on it for information, help, service, and utility. Children could grow up with their own A.I. which could help teach and guide them through their lives. Each A.I. will learn about its user, its users life. An idea of this could be similar to Cortana from the Halo games. These personal A.I.s will have connection links to the building/city/region A.I.s of wherever the user is located. if the user travels, the A.I. will seamlessly change connections to allow for the quickest transfer of information.

This sounds good. Obviously the AI systems would need to have human overseers for large scale tasks but I think this is off to a good start. It would be good to have an A.I. interface device with each person as kind of their own personal Google search engine/iPhone.

And it goes back to the idea of identification through database validation, rather than the uniforms idea. Each Atlasian would have their own embedded identity through the database to access citizen domociles and all other areas within the city whereas visitors would have restrictions embedded into the database to keep their access limited. So yes, good stuff.

The building and city section are fine. The personal section can be pretty neat, but I suppose that will be up to each resident as to if they want such a device or not. We are pretty far off from the region (or anything bigger then city) section for the time being. Let's concentrate on the microcosm before the macro

i know, i was attempting to grab the global system. obviously our city would only encompass city - building - sensor and personal A.I.s

you are correct, the personal A.I. would not be mandatory, but I think, once they are established in the future, it would be like saying that some people wont want a washing machine or a computer.

our city could connect to a regional A.I. once other cities are created, and a regional A.I. established.
