Once you realize that every beings purpose in life is to learn, it becomes easier to forgive them for their mistakes.

The future doesn’t exist. The only time we can be peaceful is now, because now is all that exists.

Tony Bondhus is working on a low cost reprap machine:

conceivia.com

Last I heard he was looking for help with the firmware part of the machine.

The idea of his new society sounds pretty interesting. He wants a better democratic system and a very environmentally safe society. Maybe he should be introduced to RBE.

He is already aware of RBE

I bumped into him on the previous TVP forums some 5+ years ago. (On the TZM forum his username is "Ant")

we have a rep rap here.
The parts were printed by the guys in South Sweden, and they shipped them to use in middle Sweden.

This is kind of still useles for RBE, to be blunt. Very very slow to make a part also.
Rep Rap however is vital progress and its all a stepping stone to getting better and better understanding.

What is needed are specialising machines for:
1. Farming / Hydroponics
2. CNC cutters for rapid SIp panel building construction.

In a way, machines like this are stepping stones to futuristic tech like food materialization machines on "Star Trek" and "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy."

Remember, before it was science fact, it was science fiction.

www.contourcrafting.org/

A professor from USC is working on developing what is essentially a 3D printer that he thinks can build houses in about 24 hours in any shape you wish.
