Such action is likely to lead to derailing of projects later on when the legal whip is brought into play, I would very much recommend a 100% legal approach to avoid any unnecessary complications.
It would not require much expense for example to setup our own book lending club, where brought and paid for copies can be posted to each other.
For such a small cost, this would provide us with the material we want/need, whilst remaining 100% legal.
(Yes I know it is not as efficient as PDF files, but sometimes you have to sacfrice speed and effiency for legality if you wish to play by their rules.)
The last thing anyone needs is legal hassle, domains pulled, authority involvements, etc.
It is one of the common reasons I see here for community building efforts to be slowed down by the authories when some of the people involved practice illegal actitivies, or are even just perceived as likely to do so! (Eg. the hippy look..)
I would hate to see the same thing happen here, especially over such a minor matter.
